GAIN’s mission is to combat malnutrition by mobilising businesses and fostering impactful partnerships at all levels.

They partnered with our team to design, develop, and maintain a secure, scalable online database platform for the SUN Business Network (SBN). This initiative aligns with SBN’s mission to combat malnutrition by mobilizing businesses and fostering impactful partnerships at national, regional, and global levels.

What we delivered:

Key Features of the SBN Online Database Platform:

Platform Development:

Designed and implemented the online database on the DHIS2 platform to meet SBN’s unique requirements.

Data Management & Analysis:

Integrated modules to facilitate data entry, consolidation, and analysis for 16 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at the State level for the 15 CARICOM States and the Dominican Republic.

Mapping & Reporting:

Enabled State/national-focused mapping, regional data mapping, and comparative regional reporting.

Baseline Exercise Module:

Designed a feature allowing States to input responses for baseline exercises and generate comprehensive reports at State/national and regional levels.

Sustainability and Responsibility:

Embedded features promoting responsible practices, encouraging businesses to invest and innovate in nutrition-related initiatives.

Scalability:

Ensured platform scalability to support SBN's expansion across regions.

How we delivered it

Our team adopted an agile approach, delivering the project in structured phases with regular feedback loops to refine user experience and functionalities. Leveraging DHIS2’s robust capabilities, we enabled comprehensive data collection, analysis, and reporting while collaborating closely with SBN stakeholders to align the platform’s features with their objectives.

How we delivered success

Our implementation method is based on the Agile framework of Scrum. Using Scrum, sprint plans are created which contains a series of tasks to meet a particular requirement - system and technical mandatories, functionality development, and design enhancements. The duration of a sprint cycle and release is every 2 weeks.
